The importance of Scientific Collaboration in the development of Powder Technology


[print-g.ac.id, 08/08/2017] Current powder technology developments are increasingly venturing into different fields of science. The collaboration of these disciplines is primarily to have a new breakthrough to meet the various needs of industry. To achieve that College plays a vital role by synergizing the utilization of the research results with government policy and the needs of industrial development is also essential.

In regards to the Institutional development of the Nanotechnology and Graphene Research Center (PRINT-G) cooperates with the area of Science and Technology (KST), Centre for the study of the Science of Engineering Materials, Univesitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia Powder and associations (Aspowin) organizes The 1st International Conference and Exhibition on Powder Technology Indonesia (ICePTi) 2017 on Tuesday (8/8) until Wednesday (9/8) in Bale Sawala Unpad Jatinangor,.

Rector Unpad Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad while opening the event to convey that through this Conference not only discusses a variety of powder technology developments from various fields of science, but also generate new collaborations for the development of sustainable research results.  
"In this meeting we are not only hear to discuss the technology of powder but also to know what is really needed by the community and the industries. This is a challenge for all of us to know what is required for the future" said the Rector to the participants before the Conference.

ICePTi 2017 consists of series of events that includes International Conferences, Business Talk, Business Matching and Powder Technology products exhibition attended by researchers and business people from home and abroad.

Committee Chairman ICePTi 2017, Prof. Dr. Eng. Camellia Panatarani, M.Si., explains that this event aims to explore the idea, the progress of research, technology development and collaboration between researchers and industries in the field of powder technology and its applications in the sphere of nanotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical and agro-chemicals, food and feed, mineral, powder coating and paint, cosmetics, soaps and detergents, ceramics, toners, rubber and plastics, and others.

On this occasion researchers from home and abroad were invited as speakers, few of them are Prof. Hidehiro Kamiya (Dean at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan), Dr. Keri Lestari (Unpad), Dr. Deo Raj Singh (Cornel Weill Medical College, Cornell University, United States), Prof. Mikio Sakai (University of Tokyo, Japan), Dr. P. Mullai (Annamalia University, India) and others.

Meanwhile, the Business activities and the Talk will be attended by employers and practitioners, among others, the Director General of the resilience and the development of International Industrial Access (KPAII) Ministry of industry Harjanto, President, Director of PT Petrokimia Gresik Nugroho Cristijanto, Director of the research and development of Bio Farma Sugeng Raharso, Chairman of the Indonesian employers' Association Hariyadi Sukamdani, Chairman of the Indonesian Association of wheat flour Producers Franciscus Welirang Area and Chairman of and served as Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Edy Sunardi. The activities of Business Talk will be integrated with Business Matching which brings together researchers, industries and national industry from Japan to collaborate to implement the innovations that have been developed.
