Visit from representatives of HORIBA Group Singapore


Prof. Made and Prof. Camel the representatives of HORIBA Singapore, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in Nanotechnology and Graphene Research Centre (PrintG). In their visit, HORIBA hopes to conduct cooperation in the use of measurement tools with PrintG headed by Prof. Made.

The HORIBA Group of worldwide companies provides an extensive array of instruments and systems for applications ranging from automotive R&D, process and environmental monitoring, in-vitro medical diagnostics, semiconductor manufacturing and metrology, to a broad range of scientific R&D and QC measurements.  The HORIBA Group based in Japan was interested in the research activities carried out in PrintG.

In this occasion, the HORIBA Group from Japan likes to extend their cooperation in the utilization of PSA (Particle Size Analyzer). Most of the materials developed in Printg dependents upon Particle Size Analyzer, since PSA instruments are used to characterize the size distribution of particles. It can be applied to solid materials, suspensions and emulsions. It is important to select the suitable method in accordance with the purpose of an experiment.

In this occasion, the HORIBA Group would like to collaborate with PrintG for procurement of PSA (Particle Size Analyzer) in our laboratory. Researchers from PrintG laboratory depends upon the use of PSA instruments as it is used for the quality control of many different industries. In milling and grinding particle size is an important factor in determining the efficiency of the process and the products.

Owing to the existence of this PSA which will be supplied by HORIBA Group, measurement process can be performed within PrintG lab within a shorter period of time and the synthesis process can be refined according to the requirements. The extended cooperation and collaboration between PrintG laboratory and HORIBA Group will be mutually beneficial to each other.
